How to Calibrate Magene Power Meter

All Magene Power Meters support auto calibration, which automatically adjusts for minor variations to keep performance consistent. However, for significant changes like new installations or re-installations, manual calibration is still recommended. This guide will walk you through the two calibration methods for your Magene power meter: general manual calibration and back pedal calibration. Here’s how each method works and when you might need to use it for the best performance.
1. General Manual Calibration
How to Perform It
（1）Open the Magene Utility app and select the “Zero Calibration” function.
（2）Alternatively, you can perform manual calibration directly through your bike computer if it supports this feature.
General manual calibration has no specific requirements for the crank position, so you can initiate it regardless of pedal placement.
When to Use It
General manual calibration is recommended in these situations:
（1）After installing or reinstalling the power meter
（2）Before testing, long-distance rides, or competitions
For general maintenance, we suggest performing it once a month if you’re primarily using the power meter for daily rides. However, for special events (like installations, tests, long-distance rides, or competitions), we recommend calibrating beforehand.

2. Back Pedal Calibration (Applicable only for spider-based power meters)
How to Perform It
（1）Open the Magene Utility app and enable the “Rewind Zero-Offset” option.
（2）Rewind the chain five full turns to complete the calibration.
（3）You can perform this calibration while seated on the bike or by turning the pedals manually, but we recommend not performing it during a ride for safety.
Once activated, the “Rewind Zero-Offset” setting remains enabled, allowing back pedal calibration anytime you rewind the chain five times. There’s no need to set the pedal position beforehand.
Hola, después de realizar las dos opciones que dais en el post, con ninguna de las dos se calibra a cero, de hecho el resultado cada vez que lo hago es mayor, ya iba por 47.
Hoy antes de salir a rodar lo calibre y el resultado fue 0, pero al llegar y ver los números me di cuenta de que algo no iba bien, realice una calibración y 25, luego 26 y así sucesivamente.
Que opciones tengo? No tiene ni 1 año y creo que ya funciona mal y yo no le exijo mucho, soy un ciclista malo.
Si está estropeado, se me cambiaría por otro? Gracias.

How does the power slope function works? I notice that my magene PES 505 powermeter overestimates the power by about 8÷9% compared to both a turbotrainer and a set of pedal-mounted powermeter. I suppose the power slope function is to be used to calibrate the gain, but there is no mention to it anywhere.

Today I installed these cranks, but I can’t connect to them via Magene Device Management. The app sees the power meter, but the connection fails. Garmin Edge added them among the sensors and I can see the watts. But I can’t calibrate them. Do you know of any solution? Thank you.
I think you are like me and have a chinese market version of the powermeter. It cannot connect to the app. I contacted support and they tell me to contact the seller.
